Why I'm Running Again

I am running for another term as County Supervisor to help ensure our communities remain great places to live, work, and raise families. My Community has given so much to me over the years, I want to put my experience working with local businesses and community leaders to work on growing Black Hawk County for the future generations. Hopefully in the past 12 years I have demonstrated leadership and dedication to our County's progress,  and you will trust me to continue working for a brighter future for all of us.

Accomplishments

  • Invested in solar energy in seven county buildings not only improving the environment, but reducing utility costs.
  • Building renovations to the Auditor and Elections offices to improve the voting experience for residents and adding more levels of security.
  • Designing a stand-alone building where the needs of our Veterans will continue to be met.
  • Conducted a compensation study in 2023 to make sure the County is recognizing the value of our employees and their work, and when completed, made wage adjustments where needed.
  • Kept the County tax increases to a minimum over several years and still created strong reserves that can be used for future needs of the residents.
  • Building improvements to address the public health needs of adults and children.  When the renovation is completed, we will have a health clinic that better addresses the confidentiality and health needs of residents with modern offices.
  • Made IT improvements to make transactions and information more secure while improving the customer experience.
  • Maintain some of the best secondary roads and bridges in the State.
  • Making improvements in 9,000 acres of county parks and trail areas
  • Bonded for the Public Safety Radio System which allows first responders to communicate on the same radio system which is paramount during emergencies.
